Hello again ligga friends, It's that time of the month: The top 20 vtubers for May 2023, based on CCV viewed with twitchtracker as the source. As you will see, this month will be the first we've officially included the ex Vshojo trio into the numbers. This will mark a drastic change at names we see at the top 20, with some names we've seen traditionally be on this list drop out of it due to this change. As disappointing as that may be, we have to do this for the sake of accuracy.
With all that said, here's the list.
Top 20 /lig/ vtubers for May 2023:

Breakdown:
First things first, twitch tracker has royally fucked up the Up/Down part of the numbers here to where they over weighted the value of the debut streams last month for Saru and Vienna. Their numbers this month are more or less in line with their usual numbers, so don't worry about that. Second, you will noticed that pretty much everyone is down across the board. May is traditionally a month where people are crunching for school/university finals and graduations, so there's less free time to spend to viewership of streamers. In fact I checked some of the flesh streamers and people like XQC were also notably down, so it was a twitch thing, not a chuuba thing.
For people notably up, OKCode rode Honkai Star rail to his best showing ever in the numbers. Expect him to slide back down after the newness of the game wears off. Nyan has had a good jump in viewership month to month, however I think part of that might just be from streaming consistently this month. The real notable I want to point out is Anny. She's had a 3 month jump in viewership to the tune of 55% and 956 CCV increase. She's back to where she was before she missed massive time last year, and It's nice to see her running at full speed once again.
Looking at the landscape of the smaller to mid sized vtubers, pretty much everyone was at or around their typical numbers except one notable exception: Olivia Monroe. Olivia has skyrocketed post new model debut to a 623 CCV average, a 203 CCV 48% increase in her viewership. By now her redebut buff should have worn off, which means she's firmly hitting these numbers consistently and should be watched as a potential future 4view, depending on how she plays things.
That's all I got for you guys this month. Hope everyone is ready for June which typically has an uptick in overall numbers, but will also have competition from the looming threat of the Ironmouse subathon, AKA the thing that murdered Feburary 2022's CCV for everyone. Have a wonderful night liggers, I will see you next time.
