These trends are not just scene in vtubing but in the anime industry in general. If a group of ikemen is the main focus you simply won't have a male audience. Hololive has this even MORE SO because a non negligible portion of their audience came to them because of their "don't interact with males" idol reputation.
With enough male collabs the holo girls will lose their current male fanbase. This DOES NOT MEAN their numbers will go down necessarily, it just means their audience will shift, as NIjiEN has already experienced. But that does not mean the girls would escape becoming accessories, because sisters aren't interested in watching girls otherwise.
