What are we thinking of the scope then. If we go three girls that's at a minimum 3 sprites. I think we could get away with just changing faces for different expressions even though different poses would be nice but that's not in scope for our indie company. Saying that we could have one full figure sprite and then grab a half picture from streams or some other place if someone has a folder full of them and have that appear around the text box during emotion changes. There's plenty of background noise that can be grabbed for free that's not an issue. Could probably isolate grunts, hmmm, Ok's and other sound bytes from streams with relative ease. What else. I think there's probably an archive of Visual Novel scene backgrounds floating around somewhere I'll try and hunt down.
So that's
>Sprites/Expressions.
>Soundbytes.
>Background noise/music.
>Background Scenes.
We'll also need a better GUI since the default looks garbage and It'll look much prettier with a better themed chatbox with a pattern around the edge and stuff. Maybe I can find something somewhere.
What else.
I found a tutorial to make a match three I'll follow that and see what happens. It looks like there's a few other possible mini-games to make as well. I don't know what else there is all I can think of at the moment.
Depending on If it will be linear of more like Honey pop we might need a navigation map so people can choose where to go/which route to do first which shouldn't be too hard to make.
