Originally, the "tako" design was supposed to represent Ina.
Along with the other designs for kiara, mori, and ame, they (along with Bloop who was designed by Gura's mama) were supposed to represent the girls themselves.
Then the other girls saw the designs and asked if they could use them as their mascots, to which Ina agreed. It was at that time where the Tako began to represent the fans instead of just Ina herself.
