My rrat is youtube doesn't want vtubers to succeed in general as it represents a break from (((western culture))) or at least for these groups that try to emulate japanese idol style. With the huge streaming boom in 2020 google could have invested in a modernization of their streaming front end, they could have revved up the algo to boost vtubers much higher then they went. They still want the superchat money of course but if they simply invested in a front end rework and pushed vtubers harder while tweaking the algo they would have made twitch scared. This sounds schizo but I genuinely feel google loss leads youtube as a cultural lever for their twisted social engineering and vtubers promoting femininity/anonymity was not on their menu. And so prism/phase got their balls cut on purpose.
