>>84546190i hate Nisekoi's run for a whole different reason: it stretched into infinity because MC was infatuated with a boring stupid cunt whose only relevant moment in the entire series was cooking a cake.
and that brings me to what i consider the essence of romantic jobbing: not doing anyting.
Your character becomes an absolute jobber the second they are "too nice" or "too understanding" because the story is gonna go right past them. As a true jobber, they will get that "oh boy its on!" moment where the girl goes
>i...i always do everything for others senpai! but this time i want to put MY happiness firstThat stupid sentence is the death mark, its super vegeta pointing at himself and then eating shit. Nothing more pathetic than having romance fall into your lap and do nothing with it but then go "nyoo >.<"
so with that said i think Marine, Iroha, Shion and Mumei are a good cast of romantic jobbers
>Marine wouldnt DARE step into other's persons love, so she would just back away and watch from the sidelines, even if she's hurting>Iroha is way too nice and accomodating to a fault. Someone else would swoop and catch her lover and she wouldnt speak up>Shion hates change and her mental is garbage. Would try to keep everything together for as long as humanly possible while other girls make their move, ultimately making her lose>Mumei shows initiative and decision, but its just so wrapped up in her own rituals and series of laws that meeting with any resistance makes her bounce and get back to square one.The most tragic one because she would try but ultimately lose
