Cutey Honey's pretty good too but that might be nostalgia talking. Go Nagai and Osamu Tezuka had one thing in common with their stories, you really didn't know what genre or what you were going to get till you read it.
Dororon Enma-kun keeps getting remade for a reason. Van Halen and Brian May did a whole preformance thing because of their of love of Star Fleet (think Thunderbirds).
Mazinger started the Super Robot Genre as we know it.
Majokko Tickle is one of his softest works but its till pretty good if glurgish.
I recommend "Sousou no Frieren" (The Japanese actually translates into german which translates one of two ways. Frieren of the Funeral or Frieren the Undertaker). Its about an Elf who goes on a journey to find heaven so she can talk with the leader and hero of her party one more time. This is due to finally start to understand the timeless abyss her lifespan as an elf is when compared to other species, even long lived ones like Dwarves. She's derpy, opens every treasure chest she finds (and gets eaten by mimics many a time), and is changing her life view to be closer to the heros and her previous party members so she doesn't regret like that again. Its a slow tale with quite a bit of tense action moments.
