she has assuredly had various health problems but we can't exactly be specific. she's had health scares and was hospitalized within the last... year or so? for example. and Lamy always seems to say "i wish Omarun would look after her health more".
she had gloomy phases a lot in the past, and seemingly anxiety / self-esteem troubles (again we can only mostly speculate). it seems either has gotten a lot better, and/or, she has better support now and thus doesn't need to share it as much online. my impression is that she's way more independent with her happiness and doesn't need to lean on others anymore over the past couple of years. a lot of Holomem 'couple up', prison style. Polka seems to have learned to just look out for herself more - but i could also be massively projecting.
it took long enough but it seems her long term success in the industry and with Hololive has finally given her some peace of mind. T4U (the gen live) felt like a big turning point. 5th Gen worked themselves half to death for it, but it was a huge success and they've only gone from strength to strength since (apart from Nene unfortunately being on a long break at present)
NePoLaBo is basically a sisterhood, they have kept their gen unity more than most. they might not all be into the same things and collab all the time, but when they come together for a project, you can feel how natural it is. PoLamy used to be very close, maybe it was strained at times there is some history but they stuck together as close friends. NenePol are like best friends even sisters and get along effortlessly, Nene has leaned on Polka for support often. PoBo seems a lesser connection, they are quite different to one another, but Polka does love Botan all the same and they are still natural when hanging out. (but its a small mercy because too much Polka and Botan on-screen tete would cause me to literally explode)
