I'm not sure about colors yet, but it really needs them, so let me break down what you're seeing here.
The idea is that he's an angel that fell from Heaven, but really regrets it. He's got some scars from the Fall (hence his left side being mangled and burnt, exposing a more demonic nature underneath), but he clings to his angelic appearance on the right. He tries to be the best person he can, but sometimes his new demonic nature gets the better of him.
It might be hard to tell, but he technically has no torso-- it's just cloth winding around a core. That's supposed to be a fetus at the center.
The thing stuck in his head used to be his halo, which took the form of a chariot wheel. There's also a shard of it attached to the chain attached to his collar.
