When my boomer ass grew up, goth girls were exactly portrayed as how Shiori is portrayed. Hell, picrel is the literal perfect example of this. And I can almost guarantee no zoomer knows who this is.
Growing up to see the goth girl sperg out to you about her interests was always a treat. Especially if you were the only one that would give them the time of day so all their attention was on you.
