In a typical jacket like this you have assymetrical zippers - one side runs at the edge of a panel and up the neck flap and the other side doesn't even run on the edge, it's usually offset on top of its panel and runs up to the shoulder ignoring the flap completely because the point is to have overlapping leather when the zipper is closed. Also this might be personal preference but wearing the epaulets unhooked seems insane.
