For every decent piece of literature that came out during that time there was at least a bajillion YA dystopian novels or some story about a teenager getting themselves into trouble over some dumb shit and it frustrated me to no fucking end to the point it was turning me away from books
And let's not get fucking started on the early 2010's where every other fucking game was zombie shit and only like a tiny handful of them were actually good
