For a change in tone, let's talk about memes for a bit. I love the fact that she loves and embraces memes.
Is she THE Meme Queen? Probably. Probably not. But she has that nickname for a reason.
Whether it'd be burgers, glasses, scatman, coffin dance, Among Us, the fox song, reddit, etc., she seems to genuinely have fun with them and genuinely enjoy them. "Normie-tier"? Yes, maybe they are. But does it matter?
Memes were made to be enjoyed and Fubuki seems to enjoy them. Except, her enjoyment is contagious, thus making it enjoyable for her viewers as well.
Maybe her knowledge on memes is surface-level at best. Maybe she knows a lot more but simply doesn't go further because of restrictions, be they by YouTube or Cover.
Whatever the case, I just love that she comes up with memes, offers her takes on them or simply embraces the ones that the fans come up with.
Another thing I love about her is the way she treats her viewers. Yes, it absolutely hurts to hear the obligatory "No Wife, Friends!", but I find it endearing that she does this.
She knows that parasocial relationships are unhealthy and she is aware that somewhere among her audience there might be people who would unironically accept the enabling of a parasocial relationship and hang onto it like a drowning man does to a straw.
She's extremely clear that she views us as friends, but given the Taiwan situation mentioned above, that's a very high honor.
Would she sacrifice her income for any of us? Probably not, we don't know each other that way. Yet, despite that, the very fact she acknowledges us as "friends" rather than just "listeners" is enough of a reward.
Besides, her reasoning for the whole "No Wife, Friends!" thing is sound. Naturally, most of the people here don't watch just her. Sure, she might be our oshi, but most of the people watch others too. She said herself that she views this as cheating. It makes sense, obviously. One would think that the solution for this would be to simply watch only her, but that would make her sad as well. She wants us to support everyone, thus she encourages us to watch everyone.
"But then how to prove my devotion to her? How to become her husband?" - that's the thing, you don't. There's a clear contradiction here, but I believe it's intentional.
Frankly, I just love the way she interacts with her fans. Having a friend like Fubuki is honestly the highest of honors, so I think everyone should be glad that she refers to us as such.
By the way, the reason she does so is because I'm already married to her, so she has to turn all of you guys down. I'm sorry, but that's just how things are. She's incredibly sweet and loyal and she appreciates you all, trust me. Early Sukon gets the Fox, I guess. :^)Lastly, I just love her streams. Many people argue that they're not "entertaining" or "inovative" or "original" enough compared to others. Then again, the grass in the neighbor's yard is always a bit greener, so let's ignore this for a second.
Fubuki is the type of girl to make digging a hole in Minecraft for 2.5 hours entertaining. The type of girl to stream early in the morning for an entire month and turn it into a sort of game for people to play just because she loves Shin-chan. The type of girl to play BDSP and waste hours upon hours upon hours trying to get a full team of shiny Pokémon.
I don't understand how would it be possible for some to not call those streams "innovative". We're quite literally observing the insanity and dedication of a dork that simply wants to have fun with the things she loves.
This is, in my opinion, absolutely peak content.
And sure, granted, some of her streams can get a bit boring at times, but whenever that happens, you can always minimize it and let it run in the background. Her voice is still there, calming and lovely as it is. Her voice is still in the background. Her cute "yoisho" and various other cute sounds she makes are there.
That's enough for me. That's more than enough for me to enjoy it, regardless of what is it about.
Although, truth be told, I couldn't care less about APEX. I rarely watched those. Literally used them for but BG noise mostly. I still watched whenever it seemed something interesting was happening, though.
So yeah, that's why I love Fubuki.
Frankly, I could probably come up with more stuff, but this already took two fucking separate posts, so I think this is a good place to stop.
TL;DR - From looks to personality, her devotions to friends and colleagues, Fubuki is lovely in every aspect. Her content may not be for everyone and it may be considered "bland" when compared to others, but the ones willing to sit through it and enjoy it will quickly see its value. This lovable fox has an abundance of qualities that garner her my love and for as long as she's here, this will remain as such.
Thanks for reading my blog posts, next time we'll be discussing Nietzsche's philosophy and views.
