Aggie / community drawing stuff is relatively independent too, most people just draw in their program of choice and import it later with minimal involvement with other people. The Halloween outfits and writing contest could have been shilled more in difference places, but the people organizing them lack the clout. The information was out there but a little harder to find. It can't be helped if information is missed if people don't take steps to look for it, like keeping an eye on twitter updates of your oshi, etc.
The animation project was a lot of work for a 70 second video because it relied on so many people doing and finishing their part properly before the stupidly simple vid could be made. 5~ people said they'd do frames, then either dropped involvement or interest completely or submitted really late. Both are totally fine, as long as there is communication so that other people can fill in and do the part. It'd be near impossible to start or finish a project like that on an anonymous image board, hence why some projects might feel like they are done less by 'the community as a whole' and instead as 'a specific subset of fans'. I think that's ok too - I hadn't heard of a lot of the other 50k sub projects pippa had like some of the music mashups and that's fine. Nothing is stopping people from making their own thing. Depends on each project if thread friends from /pcg/ can be worked in easily.
i enjoyed the stream a lot. pippa love, archviebro love
