Regarding the canal, im a newfag but there shouldnt be any issues. (You could have had it built faster but thats not an issue). Mules and Oxen would be needed to tow the ships in the canal itself but the river would be faster so 35 days makes sense. I also did the calculations on ocean travel time and the canal is faster given the distances, and despite it being slow to make progress on the canal itself, by a decent margin actually. Also would be great for merchants in general to be able to go from Suzuhara to Mito or Salome’s city. Would be a major project but I minored in engineering and this is possible given the tech during the years of construction. Good work Alice!
