>>90727747I found Nerissa's cover of Down By the River particularly haunting, matching the atmosphere I'm feeling. It's a mix of mystery which matches Fauna's lore of being this elusive forest goddess, me being entranced by her and not sure if it's a dream or not, the bittersweetness of knowing that her presence is fleeting, and meanwhile there's this heavy air closing it as I slowly lose her. All of that makes me try to hold on tighter as she slowly slips away. It's a very dark, but surreal and dreamlike limbo feeling. Rissa is a very divisive holomem, and I haven't played any Baldur's Gate games but I like this cover and find it genuinely haunting and fitting. It really matches how I'm currently feeling, chasing after an apparition I probably shouldn't have let myself get so enchanted by but I couldn't help myself.
