At that point, there's almost nothing that separates them from a e-girl fleshtuber. This is my problem with almost every indie I've come across. Eventually you realize you're just watching someone who's often mediocre at games and being entertaining in general puppet an avatar that's actually attractive and interesting to look at. Then you start to realize, why bother watching? Why not just save the fanart and maybe watch a highlight if I'm curious?
As much as I originally liked the idea of Vtubers, most women are terrible Vtubers. They don't do any kayfabe, they barely keep their IRL selves hidden, and if they don't have a corpo to wrangle them, they eventually produce rrats that destroy their careers. It was fun at first, but there's just too many and I've seen it play out too many times.
At the very least, a corpo streamer will try to keep the illusion that your Vtuber isn't just a regular whore that was given a PC and told to stream. An indie one just immediately does their intro stream and then turns into generic Vtuber woman #12461
I'm just waiting for AI to improve so I can simply skip the e-whore and just have an Avatar set up in my PC to say random funny shit and look cute.
