For me, an example would be Arcane, I'm sadly a League player, so I kinda expected they would stick to the lore, so when the scene where "Jinx" apparently kills Caitlyn, the story had been so build off I actually thought for some seconds that Caitlyn was dead there, but of course, I already knew from the lore and games, she was obviously alive. And that's something good a writer can do.
