Bros, I love KroMei so much. It is the quintessential gap moe ship and like all great ships, plays to the contrasts between the archetypes of each character and their actual personalities. Kronii is in the role of the caretaker, but is actually a histrionic panicky womanchild. Mumei seems like the dumb owltistic childlike one, but she is actually mischevious and machiavellian, constantly teasing Kroii. Kronii is supposed to be a harsh dom, but crumbles easily under Mumei's provocations and becomes subtley dominated. Even their colors and designs emphasize this interplay of gap moe and contrast; Kronii is sharply colored in striking authoratative and elegant blues while Mumeis is dull earthy/stone colors, looking plain, even. However it is Mumei that leads and stands out in her underhanded, conniving giggling way while Kronii is subdued and haplessly follows along desperately trying to maintain her bravado. This can all be seen exemplified in KronMei fanart which almost always has a slightly non-con/bdsm-esque bent to it, where Kronii is either awkwardly trying to sexually dominate Mumei, or Kronii is a shrinking embarassed wallflower in Mumei's talons. This is all to say that KronMei is the perfect SM ship in Hololive and is the closest thing to classic shoujo ai anime/manga ships that would have a similar dynamic. In summary, bros, I love KroMei.
