This is the place that reflects the opinion of the "general" fanbase the most.
And the general fanbase is here for cute girls and entertainment for the most part.
/#/ changes according to how the general audience changes. You can literally see this with the numbers of popular and non-popular streams in the industry, with one caveat : /#/ is youtube and EOP centric, so stuff outside of that may not reflect popularity /here/ e.g. the 200k+ Koshien streams, or the huge VCT streams which may not always get discussion here.
You can also see that with Tempus' numbers, the /mag/ shit which started off here, as well as the Vesper liveposting that used to happen (to which I contributed at the time, because they had the general goodwill of the thread).
Some anons /here/ are STILL embarrassed by this and will vehemently deny it, but that's just human nature to avoid embarrassment.
Hololive has been under attack from various forces throughout it's existance, and so anything that threatens the general health of the "hololive viewing experience" is mercilessly thrashed by the general audience.
This used to be almost exclusively from outside forces, but nowadays there's clearly a few internal forces within Cover that are working to normalize the destruction of hololive - either out of malice or out of stupidity, and both management and a few of the talents are involved in this.
These types will NEVER be welcome here. You can post about them, sure, but you WILL get pushback. Because this is the "general" audience's venting area, and the general audience is sick and tired of unrelated shit invading hololive. This includes nijiENs, homos etc.
Girls that push that shit WILL be shit on here. You can't do anything about it, because that's just what the general audience thinks.
You should know by now WHY the thread hates Mori and Kronii. Bae is not "hated", but her low numbers are a source of shitposting because Brrats have had entire paragraphs worth of meltdowns here.
Ina often has numbers similar to Bae, but Takos tend to stay within their own thread. Just like Ina.
Debuffson has a reputation and a nickname here, but most teammates use global as their "main thread" hence you won't really find too much "Ame hate" here.
But neither will the thread defend her, because she HAS done some unsavory things, and her constant self-debuffing drives this place mad.
It's also a good example of "thread culture" on display. There are certain threads that hate certain things, but individual posters often just copy the majority opinion (figuring things out by lurking) and parrot it, and somewhere down the line the "reason" for this hatred gets lost.
/#/ is fortunately chock full of spoonfeeders and anons that make easily spreadable compilation pics and shit, so we never forget WHY we started hating certain factions in the first place.
Many have tried to gaslight the thread, but one anon ALWAYS posts the sauce, and thus all that happens is that the hatred INCREASES. Because you tried to fool anons. Again.
This tactic is a simple way of filtering the thread so that only people that share the thread's opinion can post here.
Every thread does this, but it's just noticeable here because /#/ doesn't really have too narrow of a topic.
