Well that took that personally and literally
The entire fucking movie is them doing the stupid fucking self-aware "oh if it was a HORROR MOVIE then XYZ would happen, so we gotta do this and that to subvert that"
And I don't mean that metaphorically, they literally fucking say that shit word for word in the movie, it was grating
It wasn't even fun kills,
actually, they weren't kills at all because NOBODY FUCKING DIED EXCEPT THE KILLER(s) and the "twist" was a hot steaming pile of garbage
They legit looked at the newest Halloween (which had its own problems, but it was at least gory and campy enough to make up for it even if it did end up a little disappointing to have ACTUAL closure) and decided "oh, WE should do that while also making our movie feel like discount Scary Movie (but not the good ones, the ones AFTER 3)
