You said that they could control the stock price by selling their equity. But you can't sell the equity that's on the open market because that was already sold. It's not something they own, that's why it's ON THE PUBLICLY TRADED MARKET. They can buy stock back if they want to raise a price, but they can't sell the stock they ALREADY SOLD.
And now you're telling me that they could sell their CONTROLLING SHARES to try and lower the price, but that obviously has the downside of LOSING YOUR CONTROLLING SHARES BY SELLING THEM. Why the fuck would they do that? There's no good reason. Even your example is a case of a retarded CEO financing his personal buyout of a company by selling his PERSONAL shares, which doesn't relate to this at all.
