>>5427344basically you want to change the system of a game which worked out for quite a while now because it got stale for you and you see no change anymore.
the great reset back then was in week 1 or something and everyone was doing coordinated system abuse. honk decided to upgrade the game from holo-clicker to what feels kind of like a market now, and while we lost some people over burn-out/algo changes, player count in itself did outweigh that.
my snarky point was that changing the system to seasons right now would need a surprising amount of groundwork to be laid, would invite TONS of bitching from the veterans, would completely destroy the oshiboard-philosophy which is also planned to get further benefits in a future update, and with all of those implicit changes would get many a player to leave.
In a vacuum the current Top 1% will outperform in any scenario due to the combined advantages of
- having enough time for nasfaq to buy insane quantities of several coins even before the auto-trader
- having a good enough information infrastructure to almost always make the right plays in a time window of 10 minutes
- established this advantage over weeks of good performance
a seasons formula would take away the factor of having to be on your top game at least daily to not get lost in the snowballing cycle of inflation. 50% of the fun of this game is seeing numbers go up, another 30% is seeing numbers go down and finding who got bogged, 10% is clicking red and green in opportune moments and another 10% is shitposting here to tell of your side of the shared experience with established players and circumstances you got to know over the weeks.
To sum up, yes it's merely a game, but the most fun in the game is accumulating bragging rights over time. A huge chunk of "whoa holy shit" would be lost with seasons because the time frame would be limited then.
