The reason is that when you set up a debut without an existing following, there are going to be people who notice in order to network. The only watchers you will get are people looking to become mutuals. After your debut your view numbers will go back down to 3 per stream. This is devastating to people who expected differently and will cite their debut as a success or so they thought.

99% of your viewers (if you make it) will come from your curated content, not wandering randomly into your stream because of a high view count. The other 1% are mutuals.
