As for multiple characters, I intend to introduce Kanata, but I don't know what kinds of adventures I could put into the story. An adventure without action seems boring, so I could always grant Anon demonic powers because he's bound to Towa, but that might give whiplash to the reader since it's such a shift in narrative tone, and might also sideline the inital premise of staying within 5 metres of Towa.
I could also just go with a slice of life route, but would anybody want to read that?
