I've had a terrible DM for 2 years that wanted to write his Wither like novel with us as side characters and we just kept playing because the guy was out friend and it just became stockholm syndrome until my best friend and i fucking bailed, i sadly know that there's not enough good DMs out there...but also there's quite a few wonderful one i learned a lot from too. Have fun with your party and if you ever need a recommendation for a module, adventure path, etc (or other fun TTRPG systems) then you know who to call
