>>4548346Yeah, looking at stuff like this I've kinda realized there really isn't that big of a difference between being a vtuber and being a regular streamer, at least in most cases. Getting a model wont automatically bring in viewers. Honestly, considering that the novelty of being a cartoon has long since worn off, just streaming normally might be better on your wallet for similar results, especially if you're one of those "Pre-Debut" kids who takes pictures of themselves IRL.
Thankfully, I had a person that gave me an extremely good deal on rigging and I drew the model myself, so becoming a semi-cute looking vtuber was pretty cheap for me.
I'm a vtuber for fun now. While I'm definitely still using my vtuber exploits to try and shill my other projects, and I'm definitely trying to still market myself, I'm not expecting that anything will come of this, and I think that's probably the healthiest way to look at it. The market is far beyond saturated so investing hundreds of dollars into this expecting to get something out of it aside from some silly moments with 3-4 viewers is just going to make you frustrated.
