>>47816259There's really only two choices for shading in PES. The team uses shadeless, here's one of the worst case scenarios for shaded. It's mostly a model problem, the geometry should be fixed and the better made models do look better than this with the shaded option. I also personally don't like how shaded models interact with PES lighting and that's why I prefer shadeless, but every time I'm working on a model and preview it in blender I do wish we had an option for a decent rendering engine. Give me default Cycles or something that can do proper cel shading
Outlines got brought up and they would also help. Back when the team was new the manager specifically wanted no outlines, and for models with good textures I think that looks fine. The real problem is players like Pika where the texture is just flat colours and no texture-level shading. That'll likely be something I bring up with the managers for next cup
