Wizards used to hire artists to work on entire sets and paid them salaries, and this used to be the economical method but for decades now they've been commissioning artists for single cards and or to do many cards in a set. If Miku and the promotion existed in the 90's, it would be like, 1-3 artists for all the works, giving it a more consistent style.
