This'll turn into a shitfest on this topic but whatever.
>>82481921Basically, do you count someone as a fan who watches every stream, someone that has a positive opinion of them and watches a good amount of streams but not all, someone who has a good opinion but watches very little but listens to their music consistently, someone who just has a good opinion of them and buys merch very occasionally cause they think they're cute, and so forth. Someone like Gura may technically have the most female fans by the virtue of being the biggest holo too, so there's the argument of percentage vs numbers, where Towa will clearly have less females than Pekora, but technically has more by percentage, but it may look like Pekora has more because there's just more of them.
For people like Marine and Suityan, there's much more reason to believe that they fall under that they have a good amount of women that enjoy their music, but not really watch streams nor really post on twitter about them consistently, would you count them as a fan, or some kind of secondary?
This hobby is still extremely male dominated in the first place, even if there are a sizeable amount of female fans, it's just primarily that it's relative to other vtubers in the first place.
