I decided to just go ahead and finish Demon's Souls (PS3) after 2 hours of failing to kill Old King Doran. This was definitely the least refined souls game and there were a lot of rough spots, but I enjoyed my time with it. Some real bullshit in there like Maneaters, Manta Rays, and lack of poise made me seethe a lot, but the ideas in the level design were very interesting and felt unique which makes sense since this was before dark souls refined things to focus more on combat. I think I enjoyed DS2 a bit more, but I think I would rather replay Demon's Souls if that makes any sense.
