Hello, yes, liaschizo here. Really outstanding performance from Lia today in the VA department. There’s a merciful ambiguity as to whether or not the tonality of her voice for the beginning of today’s stream was from her recent time spent with Shiina and a mirroring of Seamstress own, famously, hyper pitched tone or if this was just Lia’s big Thanksgiving break effort to play into the Ashelia sweetie gamer material. Either interpretation could be satisfying but really goes to demonstrate the subtlety of Lia’s more regular VA work when she takes moments like this to emulate an industry standard that Shiina so perfectly pursues. Of course with the front loading of the tuned up VA, the subtle lure of calling attention to her tonal quality with her “getting sick” commentary, and her overall pacing with these type of games the setting for the later half of the stream was laid out. Lia’s vocal lack of enjoyment with the minor setbacks she experienced were rife with the kind of subtle tonality that really draws out the evocative qualities of Lia’s performance. The barely perceptible wavering at the drop in spirits was sublime with the underlying frustration with self really firing up all sorts of inexpressible compulsions. Lia’s distaste for that particular type of content and her limitations of engaging with it coming out beautifully in the way she expressed herself through the moment. The bratty ending on top of that was really the perfect digestif for the entire performance revisiting the complex blossoming of relevancies when she “struggled” earlier. Very fun experience I was deeply moved by Lia yet again.
