On January 25, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department announced the arrest of a 41-year-old employee of a game app production company in Higashi Ward, Nagoya City, on suspicion of forcible sexual intercourse for sexually assaulting a female acquaintance.

The victim is a virtual youtuber (V-tuber), and the man, who was a fan of the woman's, offered to "manage her" and had been supporting her activities such as video production and schedule management since around April of last year. The police believe that he became angry when he found out that the woman had a boyfriend and assaulted her.
