I played BA for a while because the SoL is very K-On like and comfy, and the chibi animations are top of the line, but later on didn't have enough time for it so I had to drop it.

However I wasn't too into the grindy gameplay and didn't have enough time to play so I dropped it.
Regarding gacha in general, it depends. Some people are gambling addicts, others just really really want a certain character so paying is "just" a bothersome neccesity to acquire them. Whales like to flex with their money on free 2 play peasants. Others like to do pure f2p challenge runs on gacha games, etc. Personally I spent some money twice.
