>>61084457You should always give more; most people live "tit for tat", always working the amount exactly what they're paid, being respectful only to those respectful to them first, caring about only those who care for them. It's this sense of equality that keeps people down. The truth is you should give the most you can, to do your best always, even if it's unfair (harder still when it's drastically unfair). For the rest of your life, always work harder than you're paid, for example, your boss will always recognise it and be forced to promote you each year. Otherwise you can quit and you'll be dearly missed, because who else works harder than they're paid? It gives you a ton of power, too. Anyway, do this socially. Work hard to not be a drain on anyone. Give happiness to others as best you can. And if it ever feels unfair, then dip into your pride. Remember you're doing your best, and that's pride-worthy, rather than just just keeping a "tit for tat" sad balance.
