But yes, Texas isn't really "the South," it's on its own as it's own thing because it's different enough from the places around it
except in border areas (which is standard everywhere) and most of OK, but I know a lot of people from both TX and OK don't like to say they're alike so I'll do it in this spoiler :^) that it stands out as its own region.
