Alright, it's still dead hours to a point and the thread is close to bump limit, but I said I want to reflect with you on this VTL and the whole Divegrass experience. I don't want to set up some polls and just let you click
>yes this was pretty okay
or something, I want to do this here, read what you actually have to say and discuss with you.
I'll propose some talking points and also write down my own opinion. If you just want to write something about a few of these points, please do.
PARTICIPATION
>Did you care Minto? If you didn't care at first, did this team make you care?
I cared Minto, obviously. Very much. As all of this progressed, I felt an ever increasing emotional attachment to the team, the thread and also Minto herself. It was at times as if I saw my real life footie club play.
>Did you enjoy our VTL experience?
I often felt as if nobody would take us seriously and if we were hated by everyone. Of course this was frustrating, but that made every victory even sweeter. I have noone to please but you. It was a lot of work, it was exhausting, I hoped it would end soon more than once.
>Do you actually want to participate in this going forward?
Yes.
ON PITCH
>Did you enjoy the way /mint/ played?
We got some amazing results out of bad players. Next time, we will have the right players for the job. I want to optimize that play style of extreme midfield pressure and just overloading their box with players who all seem to be capable of scoring. It feels as if we found our way of playing and I'm committed to it.
>Did you enjoy our player models and audio?
I did, but I have to learn how to make player models myself and I seriously need to fix the audio files, some were very quiet and it seems like I couldn't fix them properly.
MANAGING
>Generally speaking, do you think the manager did a good job?
No. There's A LOT to improve... I hope that I will learn the right lessons and develop the capabilities to apply them.
>What may the manager do better?
Find the right balance of pushing the thread and not getting annoying. Involve the Wisps. AES, Audio, ingame tactics. Tell me what you think what I need to work on.
>Did you think that the team represented our thread well?
Yes, but some players were quite outdated by the time the VTL rolled around and/or didn't add much.
>Did you feel involved?
As in, did you contribute something and see this, did you feel like I turned down some idea of yours for bullshit reasons, did you feel as if this was your team as well? If not, how may I involve you?
GOING FORWARD
>Generally speaking, what path would like to take for this team in the future?
I hope we can turn this into a thread event for every Wisp. simple as. It felt extremely satisfying to see more and new Wisps join in that Cytube chat with every match, it was amazing how much you guys did and how high quality your contributions were. I often thought that few Wisps cared, but those who did, cared A LOT. I want to excite the others as well, get every Wisp on board.
On the pitch, it's more simple: Double down on our playstyle. Destroy anyone who doubts us. Make other threads fear us.
>closing thoughts
A huge THANK YOU to all of you. Love Minto, love Wispos, love /mint/. The off-season will be busy in the background, that talk about a real and final badge is complicated already. We have that one Wisp working on a chibi ghostbusters design, another one wants to come up with some Brazilian club inspired design, we get caught up in many details. I know that you guys want a stadium. Man. I have an idea inspired by /pcg/'s stadium, but very much German and very much Ultra. I feel as if this would be too much to write about today especially when we have to figure out the badge and icon situation first.
