>>70299118Let's see, back in Vitubia individual particles of Mori Vitubium emitted a magical field which deformed the "soul" (aka intrinsic magical field) or any life that was nearby. This distortion had a morphogenetic effect which affected their growth and stem cell expression. On Viti, that factor is still at play but I formalized it a bit more with the moriama organelle, which is a bit similar to mitochondria in that it's actually a separate very specialized life form which takes a ride in the cells of other life for symbiotic purposes. Then, from the moriama's influence, a set of morphogenetic effects are applied, and over time this causes epigenetical adaptations.
It seems like the main hurdle I had to get through each time was that I wanted the magical morphogenesis to apply to a cellular level. It's probably possible to do the same thing with the creation of some specialized organ that forces the rest of the body to adapt to it, or with a nervous modification which affects growth hormones.
