I am extremely relieved she is not moving to Japan.
Even more-so now that we know Phase has found a 3D studio in LA they can use. 3D idol stuff is a big thing that is gonna keep Lia ticking. She will work hard to perform in any 3D opportunity she gets whether that be a solo dance or they need her in the back of a group dance or help teach choreography. She will be there no matter what. Moving to Japan and school would have fucked with that so much. As we have heard get mentioned numerous times this year with holos who have left their positions at the top, Idol obligations are not every vtuber's thing and it gets in the way of what they really just want to do: stream. There are girls in Phase who would rather pass on the idol stuff and that is cool. Lia is all about it, tho, and Phase is seemingly gonna continue pushing ahead with the concert direction, and it feels like Sakana/management know she is real about it and more serious about it than she has been about anything. They trust that she is available to show up and ready to dance on short notice. She might not be the most reliable streamer, but she is proving to be a reliable idol. It just depends on how Phase treats 3D stuff going forward. Will it be used as a " you have to stream __ times" kinda metric or for all we know Lia could have an arraignment already worked out to where they don't give a fuck if she pigs out on FF just so long as she is available and oncall for recording if they need her.
