To make western comics sales look better, realtors recently added foreign comics like French Bande Dessinée, and Italian Fumetti just to lie to investors and pretend Japanese Manga isn't absolutely curbstomping western comics.
Hell One Piece's life time sales are higher than Batman as a franchise, (i.e. Batman, Detective Comics, and all of the mini series + Graphic Novels) and Batman had an over 50 year head start.
You want to know how bad the western comic market really is? Comichron, the company that tracks retail sales, just gave up this year and announced they would even provide sales numbers and would instead only provide sales rankings.
