1. They're there to communicate that this person drinks a lot of fucking tea. In that case it's a pretty bad way to do it since it's misleading and could be represented by ahving them finish off a cup and refill it in a teaser to communicate the same thing more effectively.
2. They're part of the person's gimmick. For the record I don't think it's Spite, but as an example her model is based on a cerberus. A dog with 3 heads. 3 heads, 3 cups of tea, it'd be good symbolism.
3. There'll be more than one person debuting. Simple as.
4. There'll be more than one person, but they won't all be debuting at once. More to communicate something like we're getting 3 people out of auditions, and the first one is the one we're getting now, while 2 and 3 will come later in the year so they can continue 1 person at a time debuts.
I do think this is an entirely new person though. There's too much shown that would be easy to connect to someone if they weren't.
