The first wave of new generation VTuber fans (late-2019/early-2020) all came in watching clips of Lulu, Gibara and Mito alongside the well known Hololive ones like Fubuki, Miko and Matsuri. There's no way an average Holo fan wouldn't know about Niji. Not to mention these two groups cross over and collab all the time. Also come on, not many give a fuck about VShojo outside of their Twitch clique and the majority of western fans who watch Hololive aren't in that circle. They're more likely to be exposed to Nijisanji who has the second largest presence in YouTube (in terms of vchuuba content). Platform matters more than you think.
