>>49092587There's honestly a world of difference between the two. A lot of things that wouldn't be obvious to non-entertainers.
> Anime girl who streams1. Tries hard to avoid dead air and make every moment of the stream at least engaging, if not entertaining.
2. Often have boke-tsukkomi routines and other hilarious dynamics between collab partners, collabs often enhance the experience of both individuals.
3. Tries VERY hard to avoid "breaking the illusion" of the anime girl, to the point where they will wear lore-appropriate gloves for handcam streams (or never do them at all) and even for their 'irl pics' (e.g. Fubuki's Mikkelson pic, Marine's VA studio collab) they will take great care to photoshop their "avatar" into the pic/video. This also includes not revealing their faces or irl identities on their personal accounts (present ones, not the past) or not having a roommate account at all.
4. Running gags, storylines, older references, character bits and other staple anime tropes are often used in streams (e.g. Aqua's oft-referenced Inkyap, Shion/Noel boob jokes, Pekora Minecraft/Rust, Towa being AkuSui anti etc.)
> Streamer with an anime avatar1. Can vary widely in range of entertainment, often has no care for dead air or the viewer's entertainment/experience.
2. No special care is taken to create dynamics between other streamers. What comes naturally to them will be put on stream as-is.
3. Only the barest amount of effort put into protecting their irl identity, some don't even do that much, and some actively appear on their "VTuber stream" in the flesh.
4. Gags, stories etc. may sometimes develop naturally, but no effort is made to create something from nothing.
