I know people on this right-wing hellhole like to mock science, but technology for deaf/poor hearing people has improved DRAMATICALLY in the past 10 years, like to an insane degree, many forms of deafness have been outright cured, so someone who has active hearing that is slowly deteriorating having "No hope" always seemed weird to me.
