>>67359336Because singling out NijiEN is kinda just falling for catalog bait. The branch is poorly managed but if you compare them to any of the smaller corpos they're really not that bad. /#/ schizos want you to think NijiEN is like the blackest of black companies but they pay their talents on time and actually get them opportunities that they wouldn't otherwise have through sponsorships and con appearances and merch. Meanwhile IdolEN went from being the darling of /vt/ to having a scandal involving one of their talents doing drugs and fucking her manager while simultaneously trying to prostitute herself to her fans.
I don't watch NijiEN anymore after Pomu left, but the amount of hate they receive is really unreasonable and if you take this board's word for it the branch seems like it's doing a lot worse than it is. Most of the members are drama-free and just stream like anyone else. They also don't have entire gens ghosting their fans like Myth and Council, nearly everyone streams consistently.
Anyone who views vtubing as something other than a console war knows that you have to take the drama with a huge grain of salt, and judge corpos based on their actual behaviors rather than how it's framed on /vt/. Pomu always talked positively about her direct manager and said he worked very hard and helped her tons of times with things even outside his direct duties. I mean he got her tickets for a Metal Gear concert while he was dying of covid and on sick leave. The upper management is complete dogshit but I feel like people just use that as an excuse to shit on the talents rather than looking to improve the industry. If you want to improve the industry then you need to openly criticize these flaws in other companies as well and not just solely NijiEN.
