The tonnage numbers seem to be a bit heavier given the number of cannons for the frigates, but maybe you're using especially heavy cannons (Like bronze cannonry), have armoring, or less efficient construction techniques? The vessels will be a bit slower, but it's a not a huge deal either way. The Hearotu ofu Sea is probably the largest military vessel in the oceans kek. It might be quite slow if it's only propelled by sails, maybe it could use rowers as well? The crew is pretty large already.
