Standing against China or being a pillar of early western vtubing as an over-arching idea rather than their more recent history of being a lackluster streams. A lot of people here weren't even around for her hayday with older Asacoco and such. People moreso hold onto and look up to a highly perpetuated and inflated concept that at this point is beyond the original person. Not saying it's a bad thing, but Coco would be just another streamer that gets ignored here if they didn't go out as a sort of martyr.
