>>61308112I'm probably an outlier in pebbles here, but I actually don't care too much for her being spooked directly. Vtubers and dude fleshtubers have been doing that for a hot decade now, there's no novelty left in it for me.
I'm attracted instead to her trying to apply the same effort and hard work she does in games and offscreen planning/homework to trying to improve her resistance to being scared. It's too easy for people to say "Oh, I guess I'm weak to horror or spicy food or heights or whatever" and go their entire lives avoiding it. Saying "I acknowledge this is a weakness of mine, and I'll keep trying to take it head-on until it is less of a weakness" is cute and cool
and erotic.I guess it's still sort of a imouto/daughterwaifu "must protect" instinct, but personally it exists in a "cheer the imouto on as she admirably tries to become able to protect herself" variant. Like protecting her from the horror monsters outside is one thing, but looking forwards to the day she can walk out and beat their ass and make me kneel watching is where it's really at.
