I haven't been working in the industry since like 2014, and even for that time i've been always kinda old-fashioned. Photoshop has been first and foremost a photo editing program, but it's since then grown to be able to sort of everything. It's not perfect for the job, but for small scale like a chuuba making his silly graphics for his silly streams it's perfectly adequate.
Figma looks to be pretty neat if you have a team because adobe's ecosystem is honestly pretty shit and always has been. At least i have never even seen anyone open bridge ever. I think for a single person it is probably a little overkill in terms of conceptualization / brainstorming features. It's really good when you have ultra minimalized workflow to be able to go through many iterations of your design with many people or even by yourself. Depending on your proficiency with photoshop you can probably get pretty fast too. I managed to whip up the schedule from scratch within a 2 hour stream and i think that's a decent time, especially since i'm a little rusty. (and this is a minimalistic version from what i'm planning to use in the future once my model changes) For people just getting into this stuff i'd probably also recommend getting into new tools i will probably die with a badly magic wand'ed "RIP" cropped onto my gravestone and a pirated copy of CS3 in my cold dead hands. (I've recently switched to PS2020 though)
Okay i'll go to bed now, be nice /asp/.
