>>3644315>wow americans sure don't like paying for stuff, bunch of poorfagsI'll use what is arguably the most successful japanese entertainment company in the US (Nintendo), one that pretty much cornered the market all the way back on the downfall of Atari 2600 days and that became synonymous with "vidya" in North America (both the Nintendo Entertainment System and Gameboy).
Despite the North America market being at very least 4x larger Nintendo fails to make even double the revenue they make in Japan.
They have to translate, localize, navigate the tax code, build and ship all the way across the Pacific to get a ***REVENUE*** not even 2x the one they get in Japan.
I wouldn't doubt if their net profit for the North America operation is below what they get in Japan.
And that's fucking Nintendo, again, arguably the most successful Japanese entertainment company in the west making a TRILLION (with a T) and a half yen total.
Imagine being a fly-by-night entertainment company like Cover, not even having made a BILLION (with a B) yet total in their whole history?
I would not spend a single cent on any foreign market with translations, localization or even ad and would ltierally disincentivize the talent to focus any energy away from Japan.
Weebs can find nip stuff on their own, EOP retards market is too expensive to get in for no return at all.
